The Oaks, Boca Raton

West Boca Raton has no shortage of gated communities, but The Oaks sits in a category of its own. It offers a country club lifestyle without requiring one. No equity buy-in, no mandatory membership, no golf dues. Just a well-established community of Mediterranean estate homes, nine bodies of water, and resort-level amenities that most club communities charge significantly more to access.

If you want to understand what makes The Oaks different from its neighbors, and whether it fits what you're looking for, this guide covers it. You can also browse current Boca Raton homes for sale.

Living in The Oaks, Boca Raton

The Oaks sits at the northwest corner of Clint Moore Road and Lyons Road in West Boca Raton, east of State Road 7

(US-441). Every home here is a single-family estate. No condos or villas.

Development started in 2002 by Kenco Custom Homes and Albanese-Popkin Development Group. The architectural theme runs consistently throughout: Mediterranean Revival style with colonnaded entryways, arched details, and barrel tile roofs. Nine separate bodies of water are distributed across the community, which means water views come with many lots as a baseline rather than as a premium. The streets are wide, the landscaping is mature, and the community skews toward full-time residents. What separates The Oaks from new construction communities like Boca Bridges is that the trees are grown in, the neighborhood has a track record, and the design language holds together across the whole development.

An HOA governs the community and covers common area maintenance, shared landscaping, 24-hour manned gate security with roving patrols, and access to all amenities. There is no equity membership requirement.

Since the start of 2026, homes have sold from $1,450,000 to $3,480,000. Check recent sales for current movement, as this range shifts with inventory.

For day-to-day convenience, Delray Marketplace is about 10 minutes away, Uptown Boca Raton is roughly 15, and Burt Aaronson South County Regional Park is around 10. Boca Raton's beaches and parks and downtown Mizner Park are approximately 30 minutes east. The Oaks is zoned for Sunrise Park Elementary School, Eagles Landing Middle School, and Olympic Heights Community High School.

The Amenities

The centerpiece is a 25,000 square foot clubhouse, recently renovated, and where most of the community's day-to-day social life happens.

The fitness center was updated as part of the renovation. The Oak Room restaurant serves semi-fine dining on-site, so a weeknight dinner does not require leaving the neighborhood.

Beyond the clubhouse, the amenity package covers a lot of ground. The tennis facility has 12 courts with daily clinics and social matches year-round. Outdoors, there is a resort-style pool, hot tub, cabana area, and kiddie pool. A full-service spa and a basketball court complete the picture.

What the community does not have is a golf course, and for a meaningful portion of buyers, that is the point. No course means no golf equity fees, no tee time logistics, and no second layer of dues on top of the HOA. Buyers who specifically want golf within a gated community should look at Broken Sound Country Club or Woodfield Country Club. For everyone else who wants the clubhouse lifestyle without the golf bill, The Oaks is one of the cleaner options in West Boca.
