Moving In

Closing Day
Congratulations, you’re almost there! But before you celebrate, make sure to tie up these loose ends:
Final Walk-Through Inspection
The final inspection, usually a day before or on the closing day, is a formality to ensure everything is in working order. You’ll visit the property to verify that everything is as you last saw it, no extra items are left behind, and all included items are still present.

Home Services and Utilities
We will provide you with a list of useful numbers for activating home services and utilities after closing. This ensures a smooth transition into your new home.

Be Prepared
Even at this final stage, unforeseen issues can arise. If something at the property breaks down or another minor detail needs attention, don’t worry. We’ve encountered these problems before and know how to handle them efficiently and stress-free.

Closing
The closing agent will provide all parties with a settlement statement summarizing and detailing the financial transactions. You, the seller(s), and the closing agent will sign this statement to certify its accuracy. If you’re financing your purchase, you’ll also sign the necessary documents required by the lender.

If you can’t attend the scheduled closing, arrangements can be made with prior notice. When bringing funds to the transaction, you can either wire them electronically to the closing agent’s escrow account or bring a certified bank check in the specified amount. The seller should provide all property keys and important information at the closing.
